Rumours: Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 appears online with single lens camera instead of two

Xiaomi may have released a few products here in Malaysia, but not the Mi series like the upcoming Mi 6 that will be revealed soon in the coming weeks. That being said, Xiaomi may have another surprise for us and rumours have it that they are planning to release a new Redmi Pro 2 at the end of this month.

Its predecessor, the Redmi Pro was the company’s first to feature a dual rear camera but unfortunately it never really made it to Malaysia officially (though you still can buy it through some online vendors or overseas), so to continue that trend, the Redmi Pro 2 is expected to have the same feature as well with improved sensors. However, according to some leaked sources, it said it will only have one single camera at the back, packing a 12MP Sony IMX362 sensor.

Aside from that, the device is also said to sport a Snapdragon 660 processor (there are some talks of a MediaTek Helio P25 version, should the dual rear cameras come), 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM / 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM variants, possibly a 5.15-inch display with 2.5D curved glass, and a 4500 mAh battery.

The Redmi Note 4 will be coming soon this Thursday in Malaysia, stay tuned as we will be covering the news at TechNave.com.
