The upcoming Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is expected to announced and launched within the month of September, so we are looking forward to see how it is like in our hands soon. One of the reason is because a new report that came out recently suggests that the new device from Xiaomi may have 3D Touch technology built in.

This technology basically detects the pressure on screen to indicate how intense the user is pressing or tapping the screen. Phone such as the iPhone 6S and the Huawei Mate S already ship with this technology – but it is for high-end flagship devices. If Xiaomi is implementing this in their upcoming phone – the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 or Mi5S, we may see this technology trickle down to more affordable levels.

Recently, Xiaomi users found that the 3D Touch feature was already available in their menu system, but hidden away - probably because their hardware couldn’t support it. Seeing that the feature is built into the system, this could be a good indication that Xiaomi is readying a smartphone with 3D Touch display.

What do you think of this? Stay tuned to TechNave as we bring more news on the new Xiaomi feature soon.
