The front and back glass encased honor 8 has apparently appeared and been priced at online retailer oppomart. The oppomart listing reveals tech specs and a price tag of $399 (RM1592). Adding on 6% GST raises this to about RM1687 but this is by no means the confirmed Malaysia pricing.
Tech specs were more or less confirmed as below:
- Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 950 processor
- 3GB / 4GB RAM
- 32GB / 64GB storage
- 5.2-inch display FHD, 2560 x 1440 pixels (CABC and DRAM - Display RAM)
- 12MP dual rear camera (dual LED flash, laser autofocus) + 8MP front camera
- dual 4G LTE connectivity (nano SIM)
- 145.5 x 71.0 x 7.45mm | 153g
- 3150 mAh battery
- Android 6.0 + EMUI 4.1
It appears that we may be getting 2 versions of the honor 8 though with one featuring a 5.2-inch full HD display, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. No news on the higher-end version with a 5.2-inch 2K or 2560 x 1440 pixel display, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage but we expect it to be the honor 8 Enhanced Edition, based on the previous honor 7 Enhanced Edition naming convention.
Our previous exclusive yet image embargoed hands-on with the device revealed a very beautiful device with circular wave patterns beneath the rear glass that shimmered blue when reflecting light.
