Running Chrome side by side is now possible by Android N Developer Preview

Always wanted to have the ability to run apps side by side? Well, ever since the introduction of Android N, Google did just that but they could only do that if they have already installed a separated browser alongside Chrome to do that. Now, Android N Developer Preview 3 has fixed that.

As you can see in the screenshot above, there's a new option in the Chrome menu which you can move the tab to the space next to the current window. This allows the user to create another instance, and use it to open other tabs and the OS can remember your instances; even if you exit from the multi-window mode. So when you go back to the previously closed multi-windowed mode, you can get back the original two instances of Chrome in the multitasking (or Overview) mode.

For now, only Chrome can do such thing but this doesn't mean that the mutli-window feature is limited to a single app. Develops are currently planning that for other apps as well such as Microsoft for Office apps. Stay tuned for more news at Technave.com.
