Today, SAIC Motor Malaysia has officially announced a revised pricing structure for the MGS5 EV, reflecting the brand’s continued push to make electric mobility more accessible to Malaysian drivers. Effective immediately, the MGS5 EV lineup is priced as follows:

- RM117900 — COM Long Range
- RM127900 — LUX Long Range
Both COM and LUX variants feature a 170PS, 250Nm rear-wheel drive setup — currently the only RWD configuration in its segment. On the other hand, the COM model offers two battery options: a 49kWh pack with up to 340km WLTP range, and a 62kWh pack capable of 430km WLTP range. The LUX variant comes standard with the 62kWh battery. All variants support 7kW AC charging.

The MGS5 EV LUX variant supports DC fast charging up to 150kW, enabling a 10%–80% charge in just 26 minutes.
