The government will distribute the Phase 2 Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) payment starting March 24, 2025, with nearly 9 million recipients set to receive assistance of up to RM650. So, what should you know about it?
For your information, existing and new recipients registered in the STR database will receive STR Phase 2 payments via crediting to bank accounts or channelled cash through Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN), in stages according to their respective eligibility categories.

For individuals not listed in the STR database, a new application can be made through the official STR portal for the verification process according to eligibility categories. As previously announced the government is opening STR registration throughout the year to ensure more people are eligible to receive assistance.
In another development, STR recipients who are not in the poor/hard-poor category (except singles) can also check their SARA eligibility status via the MyKasih portal. This assistance will be given in the form of credit via the recipient's MyKad from April (until December) and can be used to purchase essential items at participating shops and supermarkets.
