Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Ismail Sabri Yaakob has announced on allowing two family members from the same household for essential grocery shopping during the movement control order (MCO) yesterday. But the Sabah government has not decided on following this relaxed measure by the federal government.

Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie said they need to study its impact and discussed at the Sabah Covid-19 Command Centre before it could be implemented at the state level to ensure there are no adverse effects on it. He also added two people traveling in one vehicle would only be allowed for specific purposes.

As of now, the Ministry of Health (MOH) reported a total of 94 new Covid-19 cases with 72 of those were Malaysians returning from Indonesia and 22 new local cases which mark as the lowest since the MCO was implemented while 55 more Covid-19 patients were discharged and recovered. Malaysia has now a stands at a total number of 5,945 Covid-19 cases and 100 deaths.

With that said, the 4th phase of MCO getting some relaxed measure may hint as a low possibility of extending the MCO after 12 May. But do remember to continue to practice all precautionary measures and stay at home. Stay tuned for more local news updates on TechNave.com!
