From today's Samsung SEAO Forum 2019 event, the company has revealed a few new products that most of us are familiar with, such as the QLED 8K TV lineup and some home appliances. One of the returning products is the Family Hub Refrigerator and it's now packed with AI and Internet of Things (IoT) features.
Design-wise, it's more or less but with added features as mentioned. Called as the Family Board, it's a new communication tool for family members to interact with each other personally, as well as monitoring food management with others. You can think of it as an e-bulletin board to share information with each other, to know the time schedule, weekly menu, sending travel magnets or posting up images and messages. Similarly to the smart TVs, the Family Board has a screen save too or blend in with the walls with Ambient Mode when not in use.

The new Family Hub has more space than before
The touch screen is 21-inches and you can do a lot of things with it - food management, family communication, entertainment and IoT

Obviously, the fridge can also be connected through your Galaxy smartphone as well with Smart View app. This will allow the user to multitask and run some third-party apps on the fridge. This includes a hands-free call, play music, and others

In addition, the new Bixby 3.0 can also be utilized for better control and services. For starters, the user can set up Morning Brief with Bixby to announce the essential information such as weather, top news and things to do. Users can also use Bixby on the fridge to arrange a plane ticket, Uber and even pre-set the oven temperature

You can also control the temperature inside the fridge!
That's pretty much about it for the Family Hub Refrigerator, we think in the future, most of the family household will be able to own this futuristic product. Let us know what you think in the comments and stay tuned for more #SamsungForum2019 news at TechNave.com.
