Samsung has today quietly released its latest offering in the affordable market segment, the Samsung Galaxy A04. The successor to the Galaxy A03, it retains some of the same aesthetics from the smartphone but with some refinements and a specs bump.

According to Samsung’s press release, the Galaxy A04 is powered by an unnamed octa-core processor under the hood which is believed to be the company’s own Exynos 850 SoC. The processor is paired with either 4, 6 or 8GB of RAM, with there being 3 variants for storage too, namely 32, 64 and 128GB.

As for its screen, the Galaxy A04 sports a 6.5-inch LCD display with a resolution of HD+ and features a water drop notch that houses a 5MP selfie camera. Speaking of cameras, the device also packs a 50MP main + 2MP depth dual-camera setup at its rear with LED flash.

Other notable specs include a 5000mAh battery, Bluetooth 5.0, microSD slot (up to 1TB) and Android 12 OS via One UI Core 4.1. There’s no 5G connectivity, unfortunately, whereby the Galaxy A04 only supports 4G.
