Samsung has a smartphone at practically every price point, from flagship to mid-range to the budget segment. One of the upcoming devices in the budget range, the Samsung Galaxy A15 series is expected to launch in the near future, with a recent report claiming a major upgrade in the display department.

Shared by the South Korean publication The Elec, the Galaxy A15 will feature an OLED screen instead of LCD panels found on its predecessor. That is a great improvement and would make it the first time a Galaxy A1X series smartphone utilises OLED.

The OLED panels are manufactured by Samsung themselves using a new technology that lowers the costs of production. The panels are touted to be suitable for budget and mid-range devices due to their low price.

The report further claimed that the displays have been manufactured since the fourth quarter of this year. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A15 series will reportedly launch in the first half of 2024.
