Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy A17 5G has surfaced in full via retailer listings and leaked renders, giving us a clear look at what this entry-level device packs. If the source is true, then the Galaxy A17 is more than you’d expect for the price.
The Leaked Tech Specs
According to the leaks, the Galaxy A17 has a flat frame with a redesigned camera island (now a single oval module) and a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display. The display has an Infinity-U notch and Gorilla Glass Victus protection, as well as a 120Hz refresh rate. The 13MP front camera is on the display too.
In terms of core specs, the Galaxy A17 is powered by an Exynos 1330 chipset, with a variety of memory configurations. This includes 4GB, 6GB or 8GB of RAM, alongside 128GB or 256GB of storage (expandable via microSD card up to 2TB). It is using One UI 7 based on Android 15, which is promised to deliver six major Android updates and security patches.

On the other hand, there is a triple rear camera module consisting of a 50MP (main) + 5MP (ultrawide) + 2MP (macro) setup. As a budget phone, the Galaxy A17 has a big battery, sporting a 5000mAh pack with 25W fast charging. The charger is included in the box, but it depends on the market.
Other than that, it also supports:
- Dual SIM support
- IP54-rated for dust and splash resistance
- Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, GPS, and 5G
Expected Price
The Galaxy A17 is available in black, blue and grey, and is listed at £229 (~RM1.1K) for the 128GB + 4GB RAM variant. We can expect this phone to arrive in the Malaysian market since Samsung Galaxy budget phones are popular here. Until then, stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
