Previously, we reported that a 5G version of the popular Samsung Galaxy A23 may be set for launch soon as various leaks and alleged renders of the device has surfaced online. Now, it seems that the smartphone is closer to release as it was spotted on a Geekbench 5 listing, which even revealed some of its specs.

While the LTE version of the Galaxy A23 featured a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC, it looks like its 5G brother would be powered by the Snapdragon 695. Well, that is to be expected as the SoC is a lower end chipset with a 5G connectivity modem.

Furthermore, according to the Geekbench 5 listing, the smartphone has been assigned the codename ‘Samsung SM-A236U’. According to MySmartPrice who shared the listing, it was also revealed that the device will have 4GB of RAM, an Adreno 619 GPU as well as run on Android 12 via One UI 4.

Besides that, no further information can be extracted from the benchmark listing. However, previous leaks claimed that the device will be within the affordable smartphone segment and has a 6.6-inch 90Hz LCD display, a 50MP main + 5MP ultrawide + 2MP macro + 2MP depth quad-camera setup and 5000mAh battery.

However, those are merely speculations as of right now, so we just have to wait until Samsung officially announced the Galaxy A23 to be certain. Hence, do stay tuned with us here at TechNave for the latest on the device as well as other trending tech news!
