Samsung Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G release - 6.6-inch 120Hz Super AMOLED, 25W charing & 50MP main camera from ~RM1946

Samsung today announced the successors of its popular mid-range A5X and A3X series, the Samsung Galaxy A55 5G and Samsung Galaxy A35 5G. Featuring some compelling specs and security features, read on to find out more about both devices. 

The higher-end device is the Galaxy A55 5G but both do share a few similar specs. These include a 6.6-inch 120Hz Super AMOLED with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution, a 5000mAh battery, 25W charging and glass backs.

For the Galaxy A55 5G, it has a metal frame and under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Exynos 1480 SoC paired with either 8 or 12GB RAM and 128 or 256GB storage. Its main camera setup is a 50MP main + 12MP ultra-wide + 5MP macro at the rear, while the front has a 32MP selfie camera. 

Meanwhile, the Galaxy A33 5G has a plastic frame and is powered by the Exynos 1380 SoC paired with 6 or 8GB RAM and 128 or 256GB storage. The camera setup at the rear is a 50Mp main + 8MP ultra-wide + 5MP macro, while the front has a 13MP selfie camera.

Both devices feature Samsung Knox Vault, an opt-in Auto Blocker, 4 years of major OS updates and 5 years of security updates. The colour options are also the same, which are Awesome Iceblue, Awesome Lemon, Awesome Lilac and Awesome Navy. 

No official Malaysian prices are out yet, but in Europe, the Galaxy A35 5G starts at EUR380 or ~RM1946 while the Galaxy A55 5G starts at EUR480 or ~RM2459. Until it’s released in our country, stay tuned to TechNave for more trending tech news.
