Samsung Galaxy A55 could feature an Exynos 1480 processor

If you are a fan of Samsung smartphones, this news might catch your attention. The new Samsung Galaxy A55 was recently spotted with the Exynos 1480 chipset on GeekBench. So, what should you know about it?

For your information, the Exynos 1380 and 1280 were spotted on GeekBench as the processors that power the Galaxy A54 and A53. These processors were listed with the model numbers S5E8835 and S5E8825 respectively. Interestingly, the phone scored 1180 on the single-core test and 3536 on the multi-core test.

That’s a significant improvement over the Galaxy A54 variant. Previously, the A54 scored only 1108 and 2797 respectively. Rumour says the Exynos 1480 could feature four high-powered CPU cores, clocked at up to 2.75GHz and another four running up to 2.05GHz. It could also sport an AMD RDNA2-based Xclipse 530 GPU for a more immersive user experience.
