So it's official, the unofficial video by Samsung Vietnam about the Galaxy A6 (2018) and Galaxy A6+ (2018) are now the real deal. Announced by Samsung Electronics, the new Galaxy A6 (2018) series will start rolling out this month starting with selected Asian, European and South America markets first, then followed by South Korea, Africa and China. No price tag nor availability for Malaysia was revealed, though.
As confirmed previously from the video a few days ago, the phone is designed with a premium 'feel' using Super AMOLED display and a pretty good camera setup with big apertures. In a way, these phones are sort of like a cheaper version of the current Galaxy flagship model.

Both of these devices are similar, just that the plus variant has bigger memory capacity, a bigger display, more battery juice and a dual rear camera setup along with a mega 24MP front camera. Live Focus is only available on the Galaxy A6+ (2018) so users can utilize it to shoot depth of field photos. What's more, the sound system is supported by Dolby Atmos optimized audio, although it doesn't say if the sound is only from the bottom.
Surprisingly, the series will also support Bixby which is usually seen on Samsung Galaxy flagships only. There are other convenient features as well such as App Pair, a function that lets you open two apps at the same time. Then there's Samsung Pay for easy e-payment via NFC.
