We waited a whole year for this. This is Samsung’s Galaxy S 10th Anniversary and we are expecting to be wowed and wowed we did. The Galaxy S10 series has now been unveiled, showing off three sleek new devices which are the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10Galaxy S10 Plus and a Galaxy S10 5G model as well which is not ready for commercial sale yet. Anyway, let's take a look at some of the tech specs.

A whole new galaxy

Let’s start off with the standard Galaxy S10. It comes with a 6.1-inch Super AMOLED display with a curved side which sports an Infinity-O display. For us, we will fondly call it the “tahi lalat” which houses the 10MP selfie camera. On the back is a triple camera setup with 12MP (wide-angle) + 16MP (ultra wide-angle) + 12MP (telephoto) sensors. No rear fingerprint scanner can be seen here as the phone now sports the first ever Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner.

Under the hood, the Galaxy S10 is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 but we are probably getting the Exynos 9820 chipset bundled with an ARM Mali G76 GPU. It also comes with an impressive memory capacity of 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB internal storage. It sports a 3400mAh battery and you can also spread the happiness by sharing some of your battery via the 10W reverse wireless charging.

The Galaxy S10e has a wide variety of colours, this includes Prism White, Prism Black, Prism Green, Prism Blue and Canary Yellow

A "budget" and "ultimate" galaxy

On the other hand, the Galaxy S10e is for those who are on a budget. It will use a flat Super AMOLED display instead of a dual curved edge version, but it's still rather huge sitting at 5.8-inches long. This one won't have an under fingerprint scanner, neither is it on the rear, but it's integrated with the side-mounted power button, which is not bad, considering the phone’s size compared to the rest of the S10 series. The phone has the same processor and the memory capacity goes up to 8GB of RAM, 256GB internal storage, and will only sport a dual rear camera of 12MP + 16MP sensors. The battery is just 3100mAh.

As for the ultimate one of the three, the Galaxy S10+ is clearly a monster at its own league. Using the latest processors, its RAM goes up to a super mega 12GB and its internal storage goes up to 1TB!! There is also a pair of front camera sensors (a 10MP + 8MP) so you will see a pill-shaped cutout instead of the O cutout on the 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display. The triple camera setup is the same as the Galaxy S10, same goes to the Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner and has a 4100mAh battery inside.

Galaxy S10 5G and other features

The 5G version of the Galaxy S10+ was also revealed and as the name suggests, this phone can support 5G connectivity. It's actually a bit bulkier than the Galaxy S10+ with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, 4500mAh battery and the rest of the tech specs are the same except that the memory only reaches up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage with no expandable memory available. It also support the latest WiFi 6 technology that allows uninterrupted and safe connection by seamlessly switching between WiFi and LTE (same goes to other models) as well as alerting you of a potential risky WiFi connection. At this moment of posting, there is no price nor availability announced.

Other than that, these smartphones still retain their 3.5mm headphone jack (YAY FOR JACK!) and a USB-C port. The dedicated Bixby button on the side of the device stays as well and it now can automate your routines, providing a personalized and pre-set recommendations, such as driving or going to bed which can be customized. All the Samsung Galaxy S10 devices (minus the Samsung Galaxy S10E) has IP68 water and dust resistance grade and oh, did I mention that all three variants of the device support 15W fast charging? Wireless PowerShare is pretty cool too as it's able to charge other devices AND accessories as well. Also, the Galaxy S10+ can support Adobe Premiere! That explains the need for the 12GB of RAM.
