With the following announcement of the Snapdragon 888, we know that many 2021 flagship phones will be equipped with the latest Qualcomm chipset and that includes the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S21. That said, it seems that there's already one and it has been tested on Geekbench 5 showcasing the results.

Under the model number SM-G991U, Geekbench 5 listed some tech specs on the Galaxy S21. Alongside the Snapdragon 888, there's also 8GB of RAM and Android 11 out of the box. At the moment, the chipset is called "lahaina" there but the scores are quite impressive with 1075 and 2916 points respectively. For reference, the Snapdragon 865 chipset + 8GB RAM would score around 500 points in the Single-Core score.

In the Multi-Core score, it's quite similar to the predecessor which usually have around 2900 points. While that sounds like a letdown, we have to keep in mind that the phone is not official yet as well as not fully optimised to the benchmark app. Nonetheless, it's promising to see the Single-Core scored twice as much and we hope to see some improvement on the Multi-Core score.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 is rumoured to be scheduled on January 2021 which is earlier than usual. Moreover, rumours are saying that it can even support the S Pen and take over the Galaxy Note series. Another thing to also keep in mind is that we probably won't get the Snapdragon 888 version so yeah. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
