As per tradition, the prices of smartphones tend to leak before the launching day. Most of the time, this was done on purpose so we advise you to take a pinch of salt. However, it also provides us with a good indication of how much the devices (in this case, the Samsung Galaxy S22 series) would cost so read on below to find out more.

The price leak was posted by popular tipster Roland Quandt on his Twitter account and from the looks of it, the price tags have increased as expected. From the screenshot, the starting price is 849 Euros. From a direct currency conversion, that's starting from ~RM4024.

Comparing this leak price tag with the predecessor's starting price, the report said it's quite consistent. However, they speculated that the highest Galaxy S22 Ultra variant may cost more exceeding 10,000 Yuan again (10,380 Yuan, after direct conversion) since the Galaxy S21 Ultra was RM10,699 Yuan. This is twice as much as the Xiaomi 12 Pro which is 4699 Yuan, if true.

A few brands have already warned us that prices should increase this year due to several reasons. The most popular one would be because of the pandemic effect, chipset shortages as well as inflation. On the tech side, there is a big assumption that the Galaxy S22 Ultra is a combination of the Galaxy Note and the S series itself.

There are only a couple of days left until Samsung launches the next Unpacked event. We think there's a good chance for early February 2022 so until then, do stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
