JerryRigEverything are pretty famous for their phone teardowns just as much as for their durability (torture) tests, as they often reveal things that you might have wondered about the phones you use everyday. This time around, Zack from JerryRigEverything did a teardown of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and succinctly answered a question that might be on many Samsung Galaxy S22/S23 Ultra owners minds which is "what would happen if I accidentally poked the mic hole with the SIM pin tool?"

For those who don’t know, the SIM Card Tray for the Samsung Galaxy S23 and Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is located on the bottom of the chassis and can support 2 nano SIM cards at the same time. Unfortunately, the pin hole to eject this tray is located right next to the bottom mic hole, and we have to say that quite a few users have accidentally poked the SIM Tray pin tool into the mic hole instead.

For the short answer to the question, the answer is “Nothing”, but if you’d like a bit more reassurance then do check out the video below. Zack does note that the teardown also reveals how the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is now a lot easier to repair thanks to a removable battery, modular construction and more.
