The Samsung Galaxy S23 series is expected to bring upgrades to several departments, from the processor to the camera setup. However, the latest information arrives by claiming that there could be a downgrade for the base Galaxy S23 as part of the company's cost-cutting strategy.

According to a tipster on Twitter, the vanilla Galaxy S23 "might cut the vibration motor". It's vague, but we know that the base variant won't offer the same haptic feedback as the higher variants. It's said that the company could either adopt a downgraded solution or keep the same one from this year's model while the Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra get a better one.

It's worth mentioning that the Galaxy S22 uses an x-axis linear motor for the first time in the Galaxy S lineup. Therefore, Samsung could revert to the z-axis solution and keep the x-axis solution for the higher-specced models. Of course, it's all just a guess. We should wait until then to find out how Samsung will implement this. It's also mentioned that the Galaxy S23 won't be any cheaper despite the cost-cutting strategy, as the prices could get distributed to improve the other parts.
