One of the most highly-anticipated smartphones next year is the Samsung Galaxy S24 series and if Samsung’s release schedule remains the same, the series will launch in February 2024. However, we don’t have to wait long to know about its chipset and performance, as the Galaxy S24 Ultra was recently spotted on Geekbench.

As shared by SamMobile, the device was spotted on the benchmarking platform with the codename Samsung SM-S928U. Furthermore, the Galaxy S24 Ultra scored 2234 on single-core and 6807 on multi-core, meaning that it is up to 34 per cent faster than the current Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy-powered Galaxy S23 Ultra.

While the name of the chipset was not expressly revealed by the Geekbench listing, it is believed that the SoC is the yet-to-be-released Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The chipset is expected to be unveiled later this month at the Snapdragon Summit 2023 event and the Galaxy S24 series is likely to be the first to feature the SoC.

Besides that, the Geekbench listing also revealed that the device will come with 8GB of RAM and runs on Android 14 OS, presumably via One UI 6. Other than that, no further information can be extracted from the listing.
