Samsung Galaxy S25 FE could be equipped with Dimensity 9400 chipset

If you're a Samsung fan, you probably know that the Galaxy S25 Edge is set to launch tomorrow. Besides the Edge, Samsung also has plans to launch a Galaxy S25 FE later this year. While the launch date is unconfirmed, details of the phone are beginning to surface online.

According to Notebookcheck, the Galaxy S25 FE could feature the Dimensity 9400 chipset. The source claimed that Samsung originally intended to use its in-house Exynos 2400e chipset, but may not be able to supply enough for the Galaxy S25 FE. Why? Well, perhaps Samsung has reserved excess Exynos 2400e for a different smartphone. For example, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE also expected to launch this year.

If the Galaxy S25 FE does swap the Exynos 2400e for the Dimensity 9400, the result would be a higher price tag. On the other hand, it also means better performance since it's a flagship chipset comparable to the Snapdragon 8 Elite. It's also more affordable than Qualcomm's most recent flagship chip, which costs USD190 (~RM816). In contrast, the Dimensity 9400 costs USD155 (~RM666).

Whether this insider news is true remains to be seen. But there are many who would prefer a flagship Dimensity chipset over a mid-range one from Exynos. Would you agree? Let us know in the comments on our Facebook page and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
