January is the month we see lots of big updates. Not only will there be the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025, but the next Galaxy Unpacked is also set to unveil the Samsung Galaxy S25 series later next month. The event could also debut a new Slim variant.

According to Android Authority, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim could be showcased at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked 2025 as part of the Galaxy S25 series. However, the phone will only be available in Q2 2025. This speculation is based on a US mobile carrier's list of Samsung phones, which currently doesn't include the Galaxy S25 Slim. Since the new model has not been included in the list for the first wave of Galaxy S25 series devices to be launched, it's believed that Samsung will release it during the second wave instead.

The Samsung Galaxy Slim is speculated to be a mid-series model. Its model number, SM-S937, was spotted in the GSMA IMEI database. In comparison, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is the SM-S938. As such, it's reasonable to assume that the new model will be positioned as a mid-way variant between the Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra. The Galaxy S25 Slim is expected to feature a 6.66-inch display, a 200MP main camera, a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and a 5000mAh battery.

The part that makes us curious is the 'Slim' moniker. Is it the official name and if so, why call it that? Share your thoughts in the comments and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
