Samsung Galaxy S25 series Malaysia release - Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, 50MP primary camera and more from RM3999

The annual wait is finally over. If you are a huge Samsung fan, this could be the time for a new upgrade. Today, Samsung Malaysia released its latest flagship, the Galaxy S25 series. So, what should you know about it?

As you can expect, the Galaxy S25 series features Galaxy AI. The One UI 7 offers a human-like AI agent, an Integrated AI platform and Personalised AI to maximise your user experience. For example, the human-like AI agent consists of AI select, Circle-to-Search and Conversational Search Experience. Meanwhile, Integrated AI such as Gemini AI, Restaurant Finder and Cooking Master makes for a great addition to the series.

In addition, the Galaxy S25 series features AI-photo editing for improved generative editing and a more realistic portrait. The Night photography next-gen provisional engine should produce less noise and more details, double analysis noise removal and Pro-grade video quality. The AI features also include an Audio eraser(a new on-device editing feature), 10bit HDR, Expert tools and a Galaxy log.

 

Samsung Galaxy S25 and Samsung Galaxy S25+

For your information, the standard and variant will feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC with 12GB RAM and up to 512 GB storage. The S25 sports a 6.2-inch FHD+ while the S25+ features a 6.7-inch QHD+. Respectively, both models run Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display  with 120Hz refresh rate (1~120Hz), Vision booster and Adaptive colour tone.

Moreover, these devices run the latest One UI 7 (Android 15) and come equipped with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for extra protection against scratches and stains. Battery-wise, the standard variant houses a 4000mAh battery life with a 25W adapter while the Plus variant offers 4900mAh battery life with a 45W adapter.

Camera-wise, both models run the same specs. These devices sport a 12MP triple Ultrawide camera with 50MP wide and 10MP telephoto. On the other hand, both phones feature a 12MP front camera. Interestingly, these specs are almost similar to its predecessor, the Galaxy S24 series. These are the prices for the respective specs:

Galaxy S25

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra

On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will run Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC with 12GB RAM and up to 1TB storage. It also sports a 6.9-inch Corning Gorilla Armor 2, Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display  with 120Hz refresh rate (1~120Hz)  , Vision booster and Adaptive colour tone. This model houses a Titanium frame with a 5000mAh battery and a 45W adapter.

Camera-wise, this flagship features a 50MP Ultrawide camera with a 200MP Wide camera and a 50MP Telephoto camera (5x Optical Zoom, OIS F3.4, FOV 22˚). It also runs another 10MP telephoto camera (3x Optical Zoom, OIS F2.4, FOV 36). The Ultra variant sports a 12MP front camera.

If you are interested, the price for the Samsung Galaxy S25 starts from RM3999. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S25+ price starts from RM4999.
