Reddit user Direct-Till-2680 shared a photo of a mockup of what appears to be the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra yesterday (October 7th), suggesting the new flagship may come in silver, orange, and gold. So, what should you know about it?
An uncanny similarity
For your information, the most eye-catching feature is the familiar orange colour that many netizens exclaimed, "Isn't this just a Starry Orange replica of the iPhone 17 Pro?"
According to the post, these photos only show "dummy units," primarily provided to case manufacturers for designing dimensions and cutout placement, and do not necessarily represent the final retail version.
In other words, the "orange" colour could be a false alarm, but then again, Samsung would be quite bold if it actually released this colour. Design-wise, the S26 Ultra looks similar to its predecessor: a flat frame, a flat screen, and a simple back.
A significant difference upon closer look
However, a closer look reveals a noticeable change in the rear camera area: the previously separate lens modules have been integrated into a single, more cohesive unit, with three lenses arranged vertically for a more unified and professional look.
As usual, the Galaxy S26 series (including the S26 Ultra, S26 Pro, and S26 Edge) is expected to debut in January 2026. As for the "suspected Starry Orange" version, whether it was a sudden inspiration from Samsung or an unintentional colour contrast, we can only wait until the launch event to find out.
