According to Bloomberg, tech-giant Samsung Electronics will be planning to release a new flagship smartphone in February next year. Of course, the new smartphones are probably going to be called the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus as successors to the Galaxy S8 series. The timeline for announcement and release date seems to be in order since that's the tradition of Samsung to do so around that period, but what can we expect?

According to some insider sources, it's said that the new Galaxy S9 series will probably look quite similar to the Galaxy S8 series but with an upgraded camera system. The current camera system is already quite good and didn't really have many changes since the Galaxy S7 series, so we are certainly looking forward to that one. However, since it's still a bit early, the camera system is still subjected to change so we won't be surprised either if it remains the same. Moreover, there are also rumours that the new flagships will have a new colour addition of purple and Burgundy Red to the lineup. We can also expect the screen ratio to be 18:9.

Aside from that, the Galaxy S9 series should also feature the same fingerprint scanner, iris scanner and facial recognition. We are also hoping that the fingerprint scanner won't be in the same awkward position too. Stay tuned for more Samsung news at TechNave.com.
