We saw the leaked manuals right here, and now Samsung has (quietly) announced the new update to the Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) with S-Pen. It now comes with features to take more advantage of the S-Pen – like the ability to take notes, doodle pictures, translate words, and create GIFs from a video, which is all taken from the recently released Samsung Galaxy Note 7.
Hardware wise the Galaxy Tab A 2016 did not change much from last year’s model, save the inclusion of the S-Pen. It comes with a 10.1-inch 1920×1200 pixel resolution display, powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7870 processor, paired up with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There’s also a microSD card slotfor expanding the storage capacity. The tablet packs in a 7,300mAh battery, which Samsung says offers up to 14 hours of battery life. An 8-megapixel sensor sits at the back for photo taking and a 2-megapixel selfie unit sits on the front. There is 4G LTE support, and it is running Android 6.0.1.
Price wise it has a Korean sticker price of 489,000 Won (~RM 1789). No news if it is coming to Malaysia as yet, so stay tuned to TechNave as we bring more news on the new Samsung Galaxy Tab A 2016.
