After quietly releasing the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 (which is basically a refresh of the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite), Samsung has released the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ in India from 20999 INR (~RM1191). Featuring a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset, 4GB / 8GB RAM, 64GB / 128GB storage and a 11-inch display with 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution, the tablet is also expected to go for the entry-level market.

Other tech specs include WiFi or 5G versions, support for a microSD card and a 7040 mAh battery with 15W fast wired charging. It should come with One UI 5.1.1 based on Android 13 and have 4x speakers tuned by AKG, an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. No word yet if it comes with a keyboard cover or stylus though.

While the previous Galaxy Tab A9 was confirmed to be priced at 12999 INR (~RM738) for the Wi-Fi only version while the 5G version comes in at 15999 INR (~RM909), the Galaxy Tab A9+ is expected to be priced as follows:

  • 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, Wi-Fi + 5G - 22999 INR (~RM1305)
  • 8GB RAM + 128GB storage, Wi-Fi only - 20999 INR (~RM1191)

There has still not been any Malaysia release date or pricing details for the Galaxy tablets above, but if it came to India, we expect it to come to Malaysia as well. While the hardware refresh is welcome, we have to say that the 10.1-inch and 11-inch tablet market is quite saturated already.

But what do you think? Would you buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ if it came to Malaysia priced from RM1199? Share your thoughts in the comments below and stay tuned to TechNave.com
