Ahead of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10 series launch (which we are covering on site, so stay tuned for that), Samsung officially launched their premium Galaxy Tab S5e and affordable Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) tablets. Offering a much thinner 5.5mm thin metal body with 10.5-inch 2K Super AMOLED display, up to 6GB of RAM, quad speakers, AKG + Dolby Atmos audio and a 7040 mAh battery the Galaxy Tab S5e starts from $399.99 (~RM1630). It is expected to arrive in Q2 2019 but considering the state of Malaysia's tablet market, we're not sure if it will make it at all. It will support Samsung DeX and have a keyboard accessory though, so we wouldn't be surprised if Samsung Malaysia brings it in as a premium executive device.
On the other hand, the affordable 2019 Galaxy Tab A 10.1 that got launched alongside the Galaxy Tab S5e could well make it here from €210 (~RM963). Tech specs and features are decidedly lower end with an Exynos 7904 chipset (recently included with the Galaxy M series smartphones), 2GB RAM, 32GB storage and a 10.1-inch FHD display. It still packs in a fairly big 6150 mAh battery with a 7.5mm thin body. Expected to be available in Q2 2019 like the Galaxy Tab S5e, Phonearena says it was only announced in Germany for now.
Both of these Samsung tablets still show a reasonable amount of bezels, so no fullview tablets from Samsung just yet. If the Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e and 2019 Galaxy Tab A 10.1 do make it to Malaysia, which would you choose? We'd like the Galaxy Tab S5e at a slightly lower price point (maybe below RM1.5K?) but no news about that just yet. In the meantime, stay tuned to TechNave.com and the Galaxy S10 series or you can catch the livestream yourself.
