Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra to have humongous 14.6-inch screen

Back in the day, some people used to joke that tablets might replace laptops. Tablets never gained the kind of popularity to achieve that kind of success. However, what if the screen size was large enough? Well, maybe that's what Samsung wants to do with the Galaxy Tab S8 series.

Posted by GSMArena, a leaked spec sheet shows that there's going to be a Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra (model number SM-X906B) next year. What's mindblowing is that this model will allegedly feature a huge 14.6-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2960x1848. It's also expected to have a 12000mAh battery. Well-known Samsung leaker Ice Universe also had the same details but claimed that the battery would be 11500mAh instead.

Previously, it was also rumoured that the Galaxy Tab S8 will have an 11-inch screen, while another model will have a 12.4-inch screen. Having said that, we're not that surprised because those are the same screen sizes for the Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+. Of course, the 14.6-inch Ultra model is definitely a surprise and even larger than some laptops.

Since you can do your work just as easily on a tablet these days, Samsung might indeed be hoping to use the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra as a laptop replacement. But it's going to be expensive so would it justify the cost? Let us know what you think in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more updates about it.
