Samsung has released the stable Android 13 update for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series, making the Android tablet lineup the first in the world to officially run on the latest Android OS via One UI 5.0. Currently, the update is available for download on the 5G models of the series in Europe, with availability in other regions yet to be revealed by Samsung.

As reported by SamMobile, the Galaxy Tab S8 is getting the update with firmware version X706BXXU2BVK4, the Galaxy Tab S8+ with X806BXXU2BVK4 and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra with X906BXXU2BVK4. For those using the 5G models of the Galaxy Tab S8 series in Europe, you can get the update by going to your Settings, selecting Software Update and then Download and Install.

The update to Android 13 via One UI 5.0 brings several changes to the Galaxy Tab S8 series, including a refreshed UI design, per-app language settings for supported apps, improved stocks apps and more accessibility settings. Another notable change is improvements to Samsung DeX, new features on Samsung Gallery, Samsung Internet, Samsung My Files, and other stock apps as well as the ability to customise or turn off RAM Plus.

Android 13 was released by Google back in August 2022 but it usually takes time for manufacturers to implement the update on their devices, with Samsung having one of the better track-record for fast updates to the latest Android OS. Usually, the latest Android OS version will make its debut on Google Pixel devices first, but since there are no supported Pixel tablets in the market currently, the Galaxy Tab S8 series has become the first to get a stable version of the OS.
