Samsung Galaxy Watch6 series Malaysia release - starting price at RM1099, available from 18 August

On top of the new Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5 phones, Samsung also unveiled a new lineup from the Galaxy Watch6 series. In this new series, it has the Galaxy Watch6, Galaxy Watch6 Classic and Galaxy Watch6 Pro. We were told that the pro variant will be coming in the future so here's what you should know about the Watch6 and Watch 6 Classic.

The new Galaxy smartwatches will come in 40mm, 43mm, 44mm and 47mm, and the latter is bringing back the bezel design that was on the Galaxy Watch4 Classic. The display is 20% larger than before and has a brighter screen. Despite having a larger screen, the overall watch size is 30% slimmer and 25% thinner too.

For features, both the Watch6 and Watch6 Classic have the same battery capacity of 425mAh and have most of the health tools at your disposal. This includes fitness and wellness functions for day and night, a full Heart Health Package (BPcG, electrocardiogram, Blood Pressure, Body Composition), additional workout trail tools, personalised/accurate heart rate detection and more.

Additionally, sleep monitoring returns where you can understand your sleep quality and pattern better. The Watch6 & Watch6 Classic will record and show your sleeping habits and can offer sleep-friendly advice depending on your environment. Overall, it can function as a sleeping couch offering in-depth sleep insight.

Besides that, users can use the Watch6 and Watch6 Classic for other convenient online tasks such as Samsung Wallet, controlling a camera from your phone, and finding your misplaced phone. Google and third-party apps are supported as well, including WhatsApp with a full keyboard to reply to messages.

The Galaxy Watch6 and Galaxy Watch6 Classic will be available in Malaysia nationwide from 18 August 2023 onwards.
