While ASUS and Lenovo were showing off their latest gaming-centric smartphones last night, Samsung quietly released their Galaxy Z Flip 5G smartphone as well. Looking at the sources, it seems to be the exact same model that was launched earlier this year but with 5G support and it costs $1,449.99 (~RM6166).

Since it's basically the same model, that means the tech specs and features are the same as well except for the chipset which is a Snapdragon 865+ 5G chipset. Besides that, there's a now Flex Mode, a feature where streaming apps like YouTube fits into the phone's display in the correct manner, The Flex Mode update should also be on its way to the vanilla Galaxy Z Flip so do check it out if you have one.

Even though the device now has 5G, it still has the same 6.7-inch AMOLED display when unfolded and 3.5-inches when folded. Apart from that, the same 8GB of RAM, 3300mAh dual battery (with fast-charging support), 12MP rear ultrawide camera, 10MP front camera and more are on board.

We aren't sure if Samsung Malaysia plans to import this model into the Malaysia market or not, but there's a good chance that they would. The Galaxy Z Flip 5G is set to launch on 7 August 2020, just after two days from the upcoming Unpacked event. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
