In today's Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung has finally unveiled the fourth generation of the foldable lineup. The highlight among all the devices, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 5G's starting price is RM6799 and will be available across Malaysia with a special referral code from us! More on that below but first, the phone.
At first glance, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 5G looks the same as the predecessor and you're right. In fact, the external and internal display remains the same at 6.2 and 7.2-inches, as well as the panel with the Dynamic AMOLED 2X technology with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+. On the external display, there still lies the 10MP Cover selfie and 4MP UnderDisplay camera.
Next, it was expected for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 5G to sport a new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. Its SoC is only 4nm which means more space and better energy efficiency inside the hood. Another new thing is the primary camera, upgraded to 50MP whereas the ultrawide and telephoto lens (with 3x optical zoom) is still at 12MP.
The body seems to be reinforced further with an improved Armor Aluminium, accompanied by a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus with an Ultra Thin Glass Design + IPX8 water resistance. The battery pack also remains the same at 4400mAh, supporting a 25W fast charging and 10W wireless charging technology. Finally, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 5G is running on OneUI 4.1 based on Android 12L out of the box.
Coming in Gray Green (signature colour for this year), Phantom Black, and Beige, there will be three variants based on memory:

- 12GB + 512GB (Phantom Black and Burgundy*) - RM7299
- 12GB + 1TB* (Phantom Black and Burgundy*) - RM8299
