Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 could see the first major redesign in years

The last few generations of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold devices have had a pretty consistent design. But rumours suggest Samsung could finally go for a new look with major design changes.

According to Pigtou, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 would be getting a redesign in form factor. Patent designs seemingly show a thinner but wider body. The thinner body allows the phone to remain relatively thin even when folded. But from the render, you can see it's wide enough to look like a real tablet (in a horizontal position) when unfolded.

Since a thinner body results in less space for other components, expanding the width for more space makes a lot of sense. It also means the battery can be thinner but spread over a wider surface, which could help with thermal efficiency. On the other hand, a wider body would make the phone harder to hold in one hand.

Whether Samsung will make these changes is unconfirmed, but we find them pretty logical. How about you? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
