While the Samsung NX300M mirrorless smart camera has been available for some time, Samsung recently revealed that it is actually running a camera-based version of their Tizen operating system. The smart camera offers tech specs which include a 20.3MP sensor, 180-degree rotateable display, WiFi and NFC. Apparently Samsung have been quietly releasing Tizen OS based devices to see how the market would react and so far, response has been more or less favourable. The Samsung NX300M is available in South Korea for 890000 won (RM2652) and we should see more such cameras soon as Samsung intend to add on more functionality such as Maps and perhaps navigation. No news on Malaysia release dates or Malaysia pricing but we'll keep you posted as to any new developments.
