Today, Samsung Malaysia announced the availability of its newest Odyssey gaming monitors. The 2025 Odyssey lineup includes the Odyssey 3D, Odyssey OLED G8 and the ultrawide Odyssey G9. There are no price tags yet, but customers can register their interest for some savings.
Starting with the new Odyssey 3D (G90XF model), it is a 27-inch monitor featuring a 3D gaming experience that does not require 3D glasses. With Advanced eye-tracking technology and a proprietary lenticular lens, Samsung said it can deliver a natural-looking high-definition 3D image. The company is collaborating with Nexon (The First Berserker: Khazan) and Neowiz (Lies of P) to make the most out of this 3D technology.
In addition to 3D gaming, the Odyssey 3D features AI video conversion, by analyzing every scene of compatible content and convert to 3D. Gamers can also rely on the 165Hz refresh rate, 1ms Gray-to-Gray response time and 4K resolution. AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-Sync are available as well, while Edge Lighting can light up the space under the monitor with colours that synchronize with the screen's lighting.
Next, the Odyssey OLED G8 (G81SF model) is available in 27 and 32 inches. The former is Samsung's first 4K monitor with a 240Hz refresh rate with a high pixel density of 166 pixels per inch. Boosted by VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 400 and Glare-Free technology, it delivers vibrant colours without straining the eyes too much. The screen’s image is also protected by Samsung OLED Safeguard+, while the Dynamic Cooling System helps to dissipate heat and protects burn-in images.
Lastly, the Odyssey G9 (G91F model) is a 49-inch Dual QHD display with a 1000R curvature, a 144Hz refresh rate and a 1ms response time. Also supporting AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, the display is VESA DisplayHDR 600 certified and gamers can utilise HDR10+ Gaming. As an ultrawide monitor, it offers Picture-by-Picture and Picture-in-Picture features, as well as helping gamers access games quicker with Auto Source Switch+.
