[Update] Prices for the Samsung Odyssey G7 in Malaysia has been confirmed! The 27-inch model is RM2399, while the 32-inch model is RM2899. There will also be a pre-order campaign from 29 June to 5 July 2020, with a complimentary Samsung Soundbar added in if you pre-order it.
It's been some time since CES 2020, which unveiled lots of exciting products for the year. Among them were new curved gaming monitors from Samsung that we covered back then. Now, Samsung has announced that launch of the smaller Odyssey G7 model.
Samsung packed a lot of features on this high-end monitor. The Odyssey G7 is not only the first curved gaming monitor with very high curvature at 1000R, but it also uses Samsung's QLED panel for greater image quality. Additionally, the panel has a very fast 240Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, and 2560 x 1440 max resolution. In terms of features, it will have Nvidia G-Sync support, a Low Input Lag mode, Virtual Aim Point, and more.
The monitor was officially launched yesterday and will be available globally in June 2020. This means that Malaysia is included, so the Odyssey G7 should start selling here sometime this month. We'll probably get another announcement from Samsung Malaysia closer to the local launch.
