Looking for a monitor that can fill the entire width of your desk? Then instead of the standard 16:9 aspect ratio monitor, you'll want one with an ultra-wide aspect ratio. Well, Samsung has high-end options in this category, such as the upcoming Odyssey OLED G9.

First announced at CES 2023 earlier this year, the Odyssey OLED G9 is Samsung's latest QD-OLED monitor. Succeeding last year's Odyssey OLED G8, the G9 delivers a bunch of upgrades. Not only does it have a much larger 49-inch screen (vs 34-inch). It also sports a wider 32:9 aspect ratio (vs 21:9), a 240Hz refresh rate, and an insanely low 0.03 response time.

For features, it has Samsung Gaming Hub, Multi View, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, DisplayHDR True Black 400, and more. In terms of connectivity, there's a USB hub, DisplayPort 1.4 port, HDMI 2.1 and Micro HDMI 2.1 ports. It even has a built-in set of speakers (x2 5W). Interestingly, the Odyssey OLED G9 has a second variant (model number G93SC) with fewer features. You can find out more from the global announcement.

Currently, the Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 is only available in certain regions for USD 2200 (~RM10167). But since last year's model eventually came to Malaysia, we can expect this to be released here too. Would you buy one when it does land in Malaysia? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for updates on a potential Malaysia release.
