Projectors aren't devices most Malaysians would use, so you might not be aware that Samsung has one. But the company launched a Samsung The Freestyle projector last year for RM4999, and now a successor - The Freestyle Gen 2 - is on its way.

Yesterday, Samsung officially announced the new Samsung The Freestyle 2. It can project huge screens of up to 100 inches with a resolution of 1920x1080. On top of that, this projector is highly portable, with dimensions of 102.4 x 172.8 x 95.2mm. It's not very big and only weighs about 136g, so you could stuff it in your bag and hardly feel it.

According to the company, The FreeStyle 2 is the world's first portable projector with cloud gaming built-in. Specifically, the device features the Samsung Gaming Hub, which supports Xbox Game Pass, Nvidia GeForce Now, and more. It also supports streaming services like Twitch, YouTube, and Spotify. Other features include Booming 360° sound, voice assistance, Auto Leveling, Auto Keystone, and more.

The Samsung Freestyle Gen 2 will retail in the US for USD800 (~RM3722). We're unsure if this means it would launch in Malaysia at a similarly lower price (compared to last year's at RM4999), so look out for more updates at TechNave.com.
