Samsung Wallet introduced, combining Samsung Pay, Samsung Pass and more

For the first time, Samsung Electronics just launched its own Samsung Wallet and we can't say that we are surprised. Given the popularity of tech brands introducing their ecosystem to the users, Samsung Wallet was inevitable and here's what you can expect from the platform.

From the Samsung Newsroom, the company said the Samsung Wallet is more than just an ewallet payment service. It can also securely save passwords just like Samsung Pass as well as monitor its digital assets such as cryptocurrencies. Moreover, Samsung Wallet will include IDs, driving licenses and even student IDs.

On top of that, Samsung also plans to integrate SmartThings so users can add digital home keys and even digital automobile keys on selected BMW, Genesis and Hyundai vehicles. Korean Air boarding passes will be included in Samsung Wallet as well and in terms of security, it will include fingerprint recognition to safeguard sensitive data.

At the moment, Samsung Wallet is launched in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the UK and the US for now. There is no official timeline for the Malaysian market and we may or may not even get it.
