Samsung adds Bahasa Indonesian, Cantonese and other new languages and dialects to Galaxy AI

Live Translate has been a part of Galaxy AI for a while now and it brings a lot of convenience to users. Just a few hours ago, Samsung Electronics announced that there will be new languages and dialects for the feature which are: Arabic, Indonesian, Russian, Australian English, Cantonese and Canadian French. 

According to TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics, he said Galaxy AI’s language will continue to be expanded this year and allow even more Galaxy users to communicate beyond language barriers. Samsung is planning to add four more languages later this year, including Romanian, Turkish, Dutch and Swedish, as well as traditional Chinese and European Portuguese.

The update is happening this month April and rolling out over the upcoming months. On top of that, the newly supported Galaxy AI languages and dialects will each be available for download as a language pack from the Settings app. Besides Live Translate, Galaxy users can also make use of the following features listed below:

  • Chat Assist
  • Note Assist
  • Transcript Assist
  • Browsing Assist
