Last month, Samsung announced it would work with fashion house Maison Margiela on a special edition Galaxy Z Flip 4. After a not-so-long wait, the device has finally arrived, revealing a fully customized design that reflects the fashion brand's philosophies.
The Galaxy Z Flip 4 Maison Margiela Edition features a matte white back cover with a hint of grey. Its metal frame gets a silver hue, with translucent prints on the device to outline the internal circuits. Of course, there's the French brand's emblematic numeric coding ring too. To accompany the exterior design, Samsung and Margiela made a see-through wallpaper, which reminds us of the Nothing phone, showing the internals on the screen. It also brings a completely new UX design with tailor-made app icons and wallpapers.
Furthermore, the device's packaging includes two customized protective cases. Both feature the French brand's "four stitches" emblem on a white surface. Moreover, Samsung has painted one leather cover with a unique texture that could change over time, while the other one features a ring holder that resembles Maison Margiela's emblematic numeric coding ring. The company also mentioned that the packaging box is a piece of art itself.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 Maison Margiela Edition will only be available in China, France, and South Korea starting from 1 December 2022.
