Samsung have also confirmed a 5.7-inch flexible screen that is also heading to a smartphone or similar device in October 2013. More specifically, Samsung have said to expect such a smartphone this week, which jives with earlier rumours saying that a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with a flexible display would be coming soon. Samsung is already mass producing these 5.7-inch displays with tech specs and features that include a lightness of just 5.2 grams and 0.12mm thinness. Other tech specs include support for full 1080 x 1920 pixel resolutions. Other rumours indicate that a flexible display enabled Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is expected to be mostly the same as current versions which would include Snapdragon 800 chipsets and other features.Samsung's flexible displays also have a curvature radius of 400mm, again beating out that of competitor LG. Samsung say that they can make about 1 million flexible screens per month.

In related news the Samsung smartphone with the flexible display is expected to be the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 or a new lineup of smartphones and be revealed within this week. The next line of flexible display Samsung smartphones could be called the Samsung Galaxy Round which was recently trademarked by Samsung for the US. Tech specs for the Samsung Galaxy Round include the aforementioned flexible 5.7-inch AMOLED display, a quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 8MP camera, Android 4.3 and support for an S Pen stylus. Unlike the LG flexible display which is said to be concave, the Samsung Galaxy Round will likely be curved from side to side, much like the prototype revealed during the Samsung Youm showcase at CES 2013.
