For the longest time, fans were wondering about the Galaxy Note series' fate. Well, looks like we got our answer already from Samsung Electronics at the Mobile World Congress 2022 (MWC).

In one of the Samsung booths at MWC 2022, the media caught up with Roh Tae-moon, the Head of Samsung Electronics Mobile Experience Business Division on the status of the Galaxy Note series. According to sources, it was reported that Roh said the Galaxy Note will be released as an 'Ultra' in the future.

In other words, it has been confirmed that the Galaxy Note series will be discontinued and it will be integrated into the Galaxy S Ultra model in the future. With the advent of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra which functions like one, it only makes sense as a natural progression for the series.

Moreover, sources say that the Galaxy S22 series has been showing signs of success thanks to the popularity of the ultra model. It was estimated that 1.02 million units were pre-ordered during the pre-order campaign a few weeks ago and that was just in South Korea alone. Meanwhile in Malaysia, the Galaxy S22 Ultra units were proven popular as well.
