It was only two days ago that Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Ring at the MWC 2024. Previously, Samsung Vice President Dr Hon Pak didn't confirm how long the ring last but it seems that a different media outlet said otherwise.
At the conference, it was confirmed by the Korean media website that the Galaxy Ring will come in black, gold and silver, in nine different sizes. There is no separate liquid crystal unlike the Galaxy Watch and with this, Dr Hon Pak mentioned that the battery can last about five to nine days.
Besides that, Samsung plans to emphasize Samsung Health to provide a personalised health management experience via Galaxy AI. As previously mentioned, the Galaxy Ring can give the user a "My Vitality Score" to check all the health guidance and a "Booster Card" to set health goals. Women's health and heart monitoring will be included as well.
There are other things that Dr Hon Pak mentioned during the conference. One of which is why Samsung chose a ring-shaped form factor is because the finger has a lot of blood vessels and veins so it's easy to collect the information. He also stated that some people may prefer the ring or the watch but overall, Samsung's vision is to implement this healthcare in a broad ecosystem.
