According to Bloomberg via SamMobile, Samsung's COO of Mobile Experience, Won-Joon Choi, admitted that the company is working on a new S Pen. So, what should you know about it?
A return after the absence from the Galaxy S25 Ultra
For your information, Choi says an updated S Pen is in development. One of the current issues is that the S Pen is affected when placed near strong magnets. This is why the Galaxy S26 series doesn't support the faster MagSafe charging system and connects to devices much better.
Moreover, Choi revealed that the Privacy Display technology was originally intended to be introduced on the Galaxy S25 but was not completed at the last minute. Development of the Privacy Display began around 3-4 years ago, and it was only supported on the Galaxy S26 Ultra this year.
Besides that, Samsung has plans to provide the same technology on foldable screens and non-flagship devices in the future.
