Since ChatGPT first rose to prominence at the end of last year, every other company has been looking to make its own AI chatbot. Even e-commerce platforms like Lazada are getting in on the game with its LazzieChat. Now, sources say Samsung is ready to join the bandwagon soon.

According to United Daily News, Samsung will launch a generative AI tool later this year. Specifically, the company could unveil the tool at the Real Summit 2023 on 12 September 2023. Dubbed SimplyChat, this is intended to be a ChatGPT-like AI chatbot. It's rumoured that Samsung developed this tool for internal use due to concerns of Samsung employees leaking business secrets unintentionally by using public platforms like ChatGPT.

Nothing specific has been confirmed, but it's said that Samsung is already preparing large amounts of AI servers. This suggests that the company could have plans to use SimplyChat externally, such as on its mobile devices. Allegedly, Samsung has been investing heavily in the AI market. If that's true, it's not impossible to see SimplyChat implemented on consumer devices.
