This feels like the early 2000s again. In case you didn’t know, flip phones or foldable are IN now. We have seen diverse foldables from OPPO, Samsung, TECNO and so forth. However, most of them have been flagships. That could change soon.
According to TrendForce, Samsung could launch a more affordable series of foldable phones. The firm didn’t disclose more info on this matter. But, it did cite Samsung’s supply chain sources.
Given the release of mid-range foldable phones such as TECNO Phantom V Flip and Motorola RAZR 2023. That means Samsung has the tools to do the same. There are no details on how Samsung’s mid-range foldables would look now. However, we could expect it to feature mid-range silicon, no wireless charging, no water resistance, tiny cover screens, and mediocre cameras.
Naturally, we could also expect the new variant to be more affordable compared to the flagships. We have yet to confirm if this news is true or if it will come to Malaysia. So, you might want to take the news with a pinch of salt.
