Samsung could reduce launch price of Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3

Back in April, Samsung reduced the price of the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Z Flip. It's believed that this is in anticipation of the upcoming new models. But if that's the case, then what if the new models - the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 - are also cheaper?

According to Sammobile, sources claim that Samsung will be reducing the launch prices by up to 20%. For your information, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Z Flip 5G launched for RM7999 and RM5888, respectively. If the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 were to be cheaper by 20%, we'll be seeing launch prices of around RM6399 and RM4710.

However, Samsung is more likely to set the prices of the new model to be on par with its discounted predecessors. In other words, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 could retail for RM6999 in Malaysia, while the Z Flip 3 would be priced at RM3999. If this rumour is accurate, Samsung fans who are patient can afford to wait for the new models, which are definitely going to perform better.

Of course, price rumours like this aren't all that reliable, so take it with a healthy pinch of salt. Having said that, would you rather get a Samsung foldable device now or wait for possibly cheaper successors? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for further updates on this.
